A soap opera written in the 1800's. We read this at school and it was the one book we read that year that the students couldn't stop talking about even during recess.

The book takes place in my hometown, Stavanger, Norway. It is about a rich family that makes some foolish decisions, has a marvellously villanous priest (the author abhorred the clergy) and a lot of both love and tragedy.

If I had a quiet place to record I would read it myself.

I read this as "German and Worse" but I'm not disappointed at all to click through and read about this title. :D
There's honestly no such thing as a stupid question -- but I'm afraid I can't rule out giving a stupid answer : : To Posterity and Beyond!
