I really pity Jim in the role of the Major, who doesn't stand a chance against this powerful man !
I hope he'll survive Image

Sorry for being so close to my deadline, but I think I'll manage to record sections 60 and 61 before then.
Hernan, since you are still interested in your two sections, I'll give you a short extension on the deadline as well :) good luck with recording.

Thank you Sonia! I was about to ask you for an extension anyways.

In the meantime, I finally have my new recording area set up (aside from possible minor tweaks later on), and here is its maiden voyage!

thank you, Devorah :) was this the first section you tested your new recording area in ? It sounds very good. I may detect a bit of a constant background hum, but after a while I don't notice anymore. Not sure if a round of noise-cleaning would help or not, one could try.

The only thing that needs correction is the missing footnote (remember I want to include them in this project) :

> at 2:54: (p. 284) best is to include them after each line of the poem: "Footnote: phlox - End of Footnote"
> at 2:57: (p. 284) "Footnote: Thrush. Chihuayhua is a calceolaria - end of footnote"
> at 2:59: (p. 284) "Footnote: Amaryllis aurea - End of footnote"

The rest is perfect. I loved the poem, sounds so lively and fresh. :9:

Oh yes, I forgot! I wanted to ask you about those footnotes! I couldn't figure out where to insert them. I hate to break up the rhythm of the poem, especially with so many footnotes one after the other. :? Where do you think they ought to go?

Yes, this was the first section I recorded in my new space. I realized halfway through how much noise the air conditioner was contributing, so I decided to be sure it stays off while recording from now on.

yes I know, I feel the same about poetry usually. But putting them all at the end of the poem is too far away to really make sense. I guess it is best to put them after each line where they appear (I gave you the time stamps in my notes). Luckily they are all in one stanza, so it's only one part that is a bit cumbersome.

Thank you

as I haven't heard back from Corey, and the two-month deadline has expired, I will open up sections 87-90 again for other readers to claim.

It's back to readers wanted. Who is interested in Argentine history ?
