Grandpa's Darlings by Pansy (1841 - 1930).

This project is now complete! All audio files can be found on our catalog page: https://librivox.org/grandpas-darlings-by-pansy/
Fiction... or fact? The narrator is an author, whom her little nieces call "Auntie Belle". There's also an Auntie Dule (proper name Julia), Grandpa and Grandma, Mama and Papa, and eventually an Uncle Ross (Isabella Alden's husband, Gustavus Rossenberg Alden). The book is made up of vignettes of the funny sayings or doings of little Minnie and little Gracie, and how these lead to Grandpa's wise lessons for both the little ones and the adults. - Summary by TriciaG
  • Text source (only read from this text!): https://archive.org/details/grandpasdarling00pansgoog
  • Type of proof-listening required (Note: please read the PL FAQ): special - my DPL knows what to do.

IMPORTANT - soloist, please note: in order to limit the amount of languishing projects (and hence the amount of files on our hard-pressed server), we ask that you post an update at least once a month in your project thread, even if you haven't managed to record anything. If we don't hear from you for three months, your project may be opened up to a group project if a Book Coordinator is found. Files you have completed will be used in this project. If you haven't recorded anything yet, your project will be removed from the forum (contact any admin to see if it can be re-instated).
Please don't download or listen to files belonging to projects in process (unless you are the BC or PL). Our servers are not set up to handle the greater volume of traffic. Please wait until the project has been completed. Thanks!

Chapter 3 is up.

The letter - I didn't do voices (much) in the letter. I figured it should be more in the voice of the person writing the letter than in the characters of those written about. Feel free to disagree with me. :)

Chapter 3 - happy with the letter. :)

LOL... so when you give me chances to be picky........

Oops! I had uploaded 11 last week but failed to finish putting it in the MW. No wonder you didn't listen to it.

MW updated with 11, as well as a brand-new chapter 12.

I've recorded 13, but it's lunch break now. I should get to it this afternoon.
