I may have found a new Australian playwright for you, Todd.

Louis Esson.

You would be familiar with his work, as I believe you took part in a play of his ... "The Time is Not Yet Ripe" ... some years ago.

This one-act play is called "The Woman Tamer". I see you in the titular role as "Chopsey" Ryan (Thief and Busker). I'm sure you could find someone suitable to play the role of fireball "Katie".

I wouldn't mind playing the supporting role of "Smithy the Liar". The only other role is Constable Jones. The big bruiser "Bongo" who appears at the denouement doesn't have any speaking lines.

Here is the text, published in 1920: https://archive.org/details/deadtimberotherp00esso/page/14

Cheers,
Chris

When you say you found a new playwright for me, does this mean YOU want to run this play (including PL and edit - or finding folks to do that) or do you want ME to run the play?

Either way, it looks good for this collection.

Thanks, Todd

I’m happy to play Frasier (talent) to your Roz (producer), Todd.

Though Roz was pretty talented herself, as I recall.

Cheers,
Chris

I will add this to the collection then, and run it myself.

Thanks, Todd

Narrator for The Sicilian for PL
https://librivox.org/uploads/toddhw/sicilian_narration_moliere.mp3
thank you, Rob, good job again (I'm still on a high because of the chevalier). I have a few notes here too though:

> at 0:03: "love makes the painter" – you say "love the painter"
> at about 0:25: usually we have the narrator also say all the voice credit descriptions, just in case a reader drops off without recording them then we can replace that by the narrator's voice, so: "Don Pedro, a Sicilian gentleman, read by" etc, everything like it's written in the book
> at 1:46: "Philene and Turkis together" – this can get cut, Todd will simply merge the voices
> at 9:33-9:38: this short end disclaimer can get cut, as you have the complete disclaimer with the translator later on, we'll use that one
> at 9:43: "End of the Sicilian or Loves makes the painter" – also here, you say "love the painter"

thanks, the rest is perfect

OK, Sonia, thanks. I think I've added everything that could possibly be needed for the dram pers now. I can't believe my first error was 3 seconds in... got to be a record.

Launched as play #6 in this collection. I'm a little too busy to be a thief and busker at this time, so if anyone wants that role, feel free to claim it.

Thanks, Todd

Actually, Todd, if you don’t want to take on the title role of Chopsey, I’ll take that one myself rather than Smith the Liar if that’s okay.

Here's 'Chopsey' Ryan, the Luuurve Doctor, having been kicked out by Katie in favour of 'Bongo' Williams.

Katie seems to have a thing for big Welshmen. Must be a Tom Jones fan.
