I was very surprised that some of what to others might sound like "technobabble" actually is very accurate regarding old wire phone circuits and phantom circuit wiring. I'm impressed.

That's great to hear. It does detract from a story if they get things wrong. I saw a movie the other day and they were calling geese ducks. People cared when these books were written.
