Apologies -- I waffled on whether I should ping you each time. Thanks for letting me know! More coming your way this week!Rapunzelina wrote: ↑March 8th, 2020, 12:32 pm Chapter 2 is PL OK!
By the way, please also mention it in the thread each time you upload a file. This makes it easier for me to be notified that something needs my attention. Thanks!
Great reading! It's an interesting text!

Hey Phil -- Sorry, I have had to step away the last few months to deal with some personal matters. Things are now stabilizing, so I plan to get back to it soon. The next 3 sections are recorded and just need to be edited before submission.

Well, you know what Epictetus would say, "don't sweat the small stuff". (or maybe that's another Epictetus I'm thinking of?) Take your time and there is no rush at all.dscottwarren wrote: ↑June 22nd, 2020, 4:00 pm Hey Phil -- Sorry, I have had to step away the last few months to deal with some personal matters. Hi @Rapunzelina - The next handful of edited recordings are up and ready for review!
Note: I was finally able to get a decent recording set up at our house. If the difference between chapters 4+ and the former chapters is too great I can re-record the earlier items at a later time.
Another batch of raw recordings are done as well; I will try to get through the edits in a more expedited fashion this time around.
Thanks to everyone for your patience during this process so far.

As Epictetus would say, "Slow and steady gets the job done". No problem, we will be here for a long timedscottwarren wrote: ↑October 18th, 2020, 2:35 pm Hi @Rapunzelina - The next handful of edited recordings are up and ready for review!

All great with the new recordings! PL OK!
Nice clear sound! Congrats on your new recording setup!
The difference with the previous recordings is not so great that would need re-recording, it's fine!

How is this coming along? You are doing great but please post a note in this thread every month or so. If you can't continue for some reason just let us know, it is no problem.

This is a notice to the soloist that since he hasn't posted anything in this thread for several months, I plan to open this as a group project in about 2 weeks. Please let me know if you wish to continue.

I am doing this as a solo. It seems redundant. Should I just let it go to group?

Not if you wish to do it as a solo. In which case please continue by all means. We can't have too much Epictetus. Let me know if this is not what you are asking.brownrottger wrote: ↑June 1st, 2021, 8:22 pm I am doing this as a solo. It seems redundant. Should I just let it go to group?

Yes,I am committed to doing it as a solo. I really want to do this whole project. I was just thinking that since its basically the same exact book, the groups efforts might be better spent doing other books?

In that case i urge you to continue your solo recording of this work. Your interpretation of his meaning is unique to you and will be appreciated by many people. We encourage 'choice of voice' also meaning a listener has different readers to choose from. If you enjoy it, do it.brownrottger wrote: ↑June 2nd, 2021, 4:48 am Yes,I am committed to doing it as a solo. I really want to do this whole project. Rapunzelina I am going to open this as a group project, are you still willing to stay as DPL or would you prefer not? There will be a LOT of small sections.
