BTW, as a newbie, I'm still working on my recording booth. It is in a shed in the garden. I have triple glazed windows, and have hung blankets on the walls and ceiling. I'm using a Blue Yeti with a pop guard. I do have to contend with external sounds: the sound of children playing in the school playground about 200m away, passing cars on the main road, and the bane of all - blackbirds sitting in the cherry tree immediately over the shed. I think some more blankets and draft-proof strip are needed :0).

Thanks Adrian - these corrections are all PL OK now, and very smoothly done! Your sound production is excellent! There's no background noise in this file that I could hear at all. If I am not overstepping my bounds - Story 15 - Mr Duncan Ross - PL OK.

No that's fine. As the BC it's very helpful if you can do some of the PLing! However, it would be best if you could also update the MW at the same time. This helps avoid duplication and keeps everything up to date. Do you have your login to the MW? Once you're in, using it is quite intuitive.

As a newbie, I'm finding this a lot of fun. I get to exercise my dramatic side and read stuff that I normally wouldn't.

If you'd like to stretch your dramatic skills, there's a part in "Dr Dolittle's Post Office" which would be fantastic for you! It's the "Golden Jay Leader" who is a bird character (most of the characters are animals) who tells the story of how Columbus discovered America with his help! The link is the dark blue one in my signature file if you want to have a look.

There's also the "Dramatic Reading Scene and Story collection" which is essentially like this - a selection of individual stories in which you can have a character in each story. They are looking for a "Prefect G" (policeman) which I think you'd suit really well! That's the light blue link if you want to have a look at what's available there.

Here is Colonel Lysander Stark - I hope I match your needs because pronunciation of some words is horrible (i think)

The pronunciations were all fine! You have a very mild German accent, so a few spots where it is more evident adds to the character! Well done on finding the script and all the lines! I'd really like you to read for the King of Bohemia in Story 1 as well, if you have the time!

There are just a couple of corrections I need:

There is no voice credit at the start - please say "Colonel Lysander Stark read by (your catalogue name)"
@2:52 there is a stumble "our/your profession" (should be "your" just cut out the other)
@6:28 the word is pronounced "draft" please, that's an English irregularity, but it leads to confusion as a "drought" is something else!

Since you are making some corrections anyway, I was wondering if you would mind "acting up" a bit and redoing the last two lines with some more drama in them? This is a dramatic work, so I'd like a bit more emotion if possible "“‘You are mad, Elise!’ he shouted, struggling to break away from her. ‘You will be the ruin of us. He has seen too much. Let me pass, I say!’ Don't worry too much about the volume, we can fix that during editing, but if you sit back a bit from your microphone and shout at it, the quality of the voice sounds more dramatic, if you wouldn't mind giving that a try for me? (The process of conversion to MP3 tends to "flatten" the voice, so more drama is better than less. You can give me two or three versions if that's easier and I'll choose one.)
