[COMPLETE] The Artist, or Young Ladies' Instructor in Painting, Drawing... - availle
Essentially, you produce a finished file as usual, editing all your errors, except:
- no standard intro/outro needed (but please say "Charlotte read by..." for the final cast list. )
- no noise reduction
- a few extra seconds between your lines (when somebody else speaks)
Usually, reading for a dramatic project goes relatively fast (if you don't choose the largest role, that is )
Hope this helps!

front is best, but it doesn't really matter since everything will be cut and sliced anyway.

OK, one quick Q:
On p.10 of section 1, there is a parenthetical note, "see Frontispiece."
I think it would be best to omit this note.
WDYT?

O -- and here is a general Q:
The Google PDF is much easier to read than the archive.org PDF.
I guess Google made a better scan.
The text is identical; it's the same book.
So is it OK if I read from the Google text?
...or, more to the point, could anyone tell the difference if I did so??

If there are parentheticals like that one or others refering to images in the book, leave it out (or, I can cut them out during editing). I don't think there are footnotes, but you can ignore those too.
As for the text, I don't care what you're reading from; if google is easier for you to read from that's fine with me. If it doesn't match what's on archive, I'll simply make you change it.
The reason we don't use google books as resource is that they often block access from outside the US; and we like to have our projects as inclusive as possible.

Hi Ava,
I've just realised I'm gonna be a bit busier for a while, and won't have so much time to record, with a few more commitments than I'd like. While this seems like a really fun project, I would like to release my claim on Mamma again, sorry! I'm sure someone else will come soon and snag it up though

Here is section 1:
https://librivox.org/uploads/availle/artist_charlotte_01.mp3
Duration: 8:44
N.B.: I want to make sure this is OK before doing more sections.
N.B. also: Please confirm that the file name is correct.
...I say this because instruction #8 says:
.......AFTER recording
.......Save files as 128 kbps MP3
.......artist_[role]_[##].mp3 (all lower-case) where ## is the number of the section.
Other files I have posted on various projects have "128kb." before the "mp3" -- should that apply here as well?
Thanks very much...LJB
