Looks like I'll end up reading a whole book.

I do find the subject matter interesting - who knew there were such shenanigans and quite awful things going on in the court at that time? Certainly has given me a different view of Mme de Montespan, but then, when your favour (and that of one's relatives) were entirely dependent upon remaining in the king's favour, no doubt it was difficult.

Just checking - am editing Section 14 and it is a long recording - 1h 15m or so. Is the length OK? If not, now would be the time to say, before I record the succeeding ones.

Well spotted. We have a limit of 72 minutes... I’ll leave it to you how to split things, but I’ll add an extra section. (Don’t worry about it being at the bottom... I’m on my iPad, which limited what I can do. When I’m on my PC, I’ll move the section to the correct spot!)

Works much better split in two I think - it was getting to be a marathon. Have uploaded both parts .

I hope I've got all the announcement of sections within the book correct - it's one of the more confusing structures.
