[COMPLETE] The Philosophy of Immanuel Kant by A.D. Lindsay - tg
Notes for chapters 1 and 5:
In the chapter 1, the audio problem in the original file coincide with a damaged part of the text, so I don't think I can do much better even if I re-record. I can insert a small segment explaining it just before that section.
Also in chapter 5, the text was damaged from 19:10-20:25, and I simply said "from this point the text is slightly damaged, so I will be omitting certain words." I don't know if I did the right thing. I'd appreciate some advice on that!
The last 2 chapters will come very soon, and I plan to re-record chapter 2. Other than that, I think I'm done(!?)

Stop the presses! I was typing a response to the effect of, "yes, that's fine", but then decided to see if the text is available elsewhere. It's on Gutenberg!

I'd suggest grabbing the bad parts from here and correcting everything all spic and span.

HIIIII!!! HAPPY HOLIDAYS!!! So sorry for being such a lousy DPL but I am here now and these are the corrections needed in Section 2-
0:17-0:22 - there seems to be some background noise and a click (music maybe?) If it isn’t too much trouble please edit this part
0:49- he observes, read he observe
1:03 - no mere, read no more
1:31 - in the minds of, read in the mind of
2:40 - Torricelli pronounced Torri-eli
4:36- the mere agreement, read more agreement
7:01 - had thought of, read has thought of
8:09 - and a posteriori, read post-criori
8:53- burst noise in the background
9:58- synthetic and a priori, read sythethics and a priori
10:18 -Are also synthetic, read are so synthetic
12:14 - that nature implies, read the nature implies
15: 27- the absolute truth of trigonometrical principles, missed “the”
22:09- according to those principles, read the principles
22:38- which cannot be anticipated, read which cannot be anticipate
Also you ended with recorded by instead of recording by, so if you can please edit that. You have a wonderful reading voice and I absolutely did not get bored listening to analysis of Kant, which I was expecting to be so great job
Regards

Thank you for the detailed PL! I’ll make the corrections after I get the final two chapters in— almost there! Also, I think I made the same mistake at the end (recorded instead of recording) for all of my recordings even in other projects... and got away with it!? Which I’ve never noticed until you pointed it out.shreyasethi wrote: ↑December 24th, 2020, 10:47 am HIIIII!!! HAPPY HOLIDAYS!!! Ok, big update today:
- chapters 6 and 7 up and ready for PL!
- chapter 1 fixed (I added a 3-minutes section to the paragraph with the damage. This is at around 19:24 minutes mark.)
- chapter 5 fixed (I just re-recorded the section with the damaged text, using a full one from project gutenburg, and inserted in place of the old one)
+ The edited version of Chapter 2 will be ready some time tomorrow!

I'm going to advertise for a PL to help out our DPL.
In the meantime, please note that we need some sort of summary/intro for the catalog. It can't be swiped from Wikipedia or other non-PD source, but something can be based on those sources but massaged into one's own.

Hi! I have downloaded the files and will listen soon. Just letting you know I'll work on this. And giving Shreya a chance to say if she's already listened to the files

Chapter 1 is PL OK!
I have a suggestion for your consideration, that may make the change of voice less jarring to a listener. If you enter both readers for section 1, the listener will know to expect a second voice at some point (if they notice there are two readers credited, of course )
For Chapter 2:
Around 17:00 a repeat "that all these objects will obey the rules of arithmetic and geometry".
