The Story of Sir Launcelot and His Companions by Howard Pyle (1853 - 1911).

This is the third volume of Howard Pyle's stories of the legends of King Arthur and his knights retold for young readers. Join Sir Launcelot as he rescues the Queen, faces the terrible Worm of Corbin, and goes temporarily insane. Also included are the adventures of Sir Gareth and Sir Ewaine. ( Robin Lamb)
  • Text source (only read from this text!): http://www.gutenberg.org/ebooks/33702
  • Type of proof-listening required (Note: please read the PL FAQ): standard

IMPORTANT - soloist, please note: in order to limit the amount of languishing projects (and hence the amount of files on our hard-pressed server), we ask that you post an update at least once a month in your project thread, even if you haven't managed to record anything. If we don't hear from you for three months, your project may be opened up to a group project if a Book Coordinator is found. Files you have completed will be used in this project. If you haven't recorded anything yet, your project will be removed from the forum (contact any admin to see if it can be re-instated).
Please don't download or listen to files belonging to projects in process (unless you are the BC or PL). Our servers are not set up to handle the greater volume of traffic. Please wait until the project has been completed. Thanks!

This is set up.

Do you have a DPL already lined up, or are you looking for one?

If it were my project, I'd shorten file names to sirlauncelot_##_pyle_128kb.mp3

The one that started them all: Self-Help, by Samuel Smiles

Thank you for setting the project up. I do not have a DPL yet. I can shorten the file names, that was just what was automatically generated.

Yeah, the system just runs the whole title together as the suggested file name. :) Sometimes it can be ginormous!

We'll stick around in the Launch Pad for a day or two to try to attract a DPL. You can start recording and uploading at any time; no need to wait for a listener.

I have uploaded section 10 (I'm skipping ahead to part 3 because I couldn't wait to read about the Worm of Corbin). I do not see in the first post that is automatically generated anything about meta tags, so I didn't include any. I can re-upload if I need to include them.

I took out the tag information. It's no longer needed since 2013; the cataloging system adds them in automatically from the title and author info, and what you have in the Magic Window for the section title. :)

I think so. Sometimes the main post in a project says to add things to the meta tags, other times it says they will be added when the project is catalogued. The MC said we didn't need to add anything to the tags. I just asked to be sure before I get to far along in the project.
