Hey there!

I'm really excited to be part of the team! Looking forward to checking out all the projects I can lend my voice to! I've posted my 1 minute test in the Listeners Wanted section if anyone wants to give it a listen and provide feedback.

Bit about me, I'm a huge reader, and I love listening to audio books. I write in my spare time too. Currently, I'm looking for an agent regarding my sci-fi manuscript. Been a nerd my entire life. I'm a Ravenclaw and just love to learn new things. One of my biggest interests is in voice work. Everyone tells me I have a great voice for radio and reading, so I'm trying my hand here.

Lovely to meet you all!

Hello, Aidan. Looks like your 1 minute test has been okayed, and you're no stranger to recording. So now you'll be looking for sections to record. You can find things to read in our forums (reachable through our Board Index above) entitled "Readers Wanted". Look for a section marked Open in the MW (Magic Window), ask if you may claim it, and wait for your claim to be accepted before you start recording. And if you like poetry, there is always a Weekly and a Fortnightly Poem going on where several readers submit the same poem (don't have to claim, just submit before the deadline). It's easy and fun . . . . and a great way to learn our process of reviewing the First Post carefully, following the directions explicitly, naming and uploading your file to the proper folder, and posting the link to the forum. After awhile that becomes second nature.

Here's an example: viewtopic.php?f=19&t=70834&p=1482253#p1482253

Every project works similarly, but with slightly differing directions from the BC (Book Coordinator) for each project -- all contained in the First Post.

Enjoy, and I'll be looking for you on the LV playground. :D

Thanks for the advice! Everyone here seems so nice, and I'm excited to be part of the team!

I'll have a look at the open options and get to recording.

BTW, in response to your tag in your signature, Charisma is being able to sell a tomato based fruit salad. :P

I make a greens salad with tomatoes and cut up fruit in it all the time. That sweet bite of apple, pear, nectarine or crasins is always yummy! But definitely NO BANANAS in a greens salad.
