I have started the Heart of Happy Hollow. But I see that it is now launched as a group project. Should I abandon mine? Jim

I understand that it is ok to have both, so I will continue my solo recording. Jim

And, I have decided to continue with the group project. Please, please do continue with your solo project! I'm sure that you will finish before I do, so you will have the first version!

Just to let you know: I have done the Philadelphia Negro book by WEB Dubois. And the Special Report by Isabel Eaton. I am now working on the Charles Fowler book, Historical Romance of the American Negro. Jim

I made this into a PDF, so one doesn't have to search the pages for the story: https://librivox.org/uploads/triciag/Muttsy.pdfTriciaG wrote: ↑January 6th, 2022, 6:32 pm "Muttsy"
A short story by Zora Neale Hurston, published in 1926. (She only had a couple short stories and such published in our PD window.)

It starts on the page linked, then the last little bit concludes a jump of about 20 pages ahead.
I haven't read it myself; I found it by random, sorta.
I thought of attempting it, but it's got dialect in it I don't think I could handle.
School fiction: David Blaize
