[COMPLETE] Violet Osborne by Emily Ponsonby-ans
Anne, I am sorry I wasn't in that family on satterdays. How I would have loved it.
Love gothic novels? Try Children Of The Abbey. Like surprising mysteries? Try The Amathist Cross. Looking for an easy read? Try Harriet's Choice.
good evening,
and thank you for explaining the reasons.
i hope to remember it next time, with this understanding of the reasons!
that said, i dont see the mw yet.
i cleaned chache and cookies, but maybe im just too fast with trying?
and just as a remark, dont know if suiting: we can use the notes field, also, to clear things up for our readers.
i did that with some projects and wiped the contents - just leaving the duration, after getting a pl ok.
cheers,
schrm

hi anne,
thank you for this offer!
i have written the html code in a google doc.
so, its no problem to change it there, but it is best done before i copypaste it into the mw...
so please, can you have a look at it?
also, the links i added dont work...
i used html tags (like in my bc project), so im not sure what is wrong?
Code: Select all
<a href=”https://archive.org/stream/violetosborne01pons#page/n9/mode/2up”>Volume I Chapter I</a> - ~2.110 words
<a href=’https://archive.org/stream/violetosborne01pons#page/16/mode/2up‘>Volume I Chapter II</a> - ~2.787 words
since you wrote, that this is not a trilogy, shall i continue with "volume", or with "book" (in titles "book", in notes "volume"?)
(after receiving the duration of the recording, in the notes field, everything will be wiped and replaced with the mm:ss)
thx for your patience and help!
cheers

try this for the notes field
I tried just with the volume - that's the right format , you'll just need to edit the actual data
AnneI use <a href="" target="_blank">TEXT</a>
(The target stuff opens the link in a new window.)

morning!
thank you anne,...
honestly, i dont even know of the target "tag" or option..
i will correct my lists today in the evening and maybe tomorrow? i will fill in the chapter and notes rows in the mw.
thank you for asking back!
edit: i still fail in adding the page number as a link.
since i bc a book from archive, where i linked to the chapter-pages, i will try to find out, what is the problem. i have there working links to the chapter-pages.
edit 2: i have to type the html code anew, seems to be. maybe something like a formatting problem - but also copypasted from an editor it doesnt work. it does work, when i copy the saved html code from the first line...maybe i will type the lists, good practice...
cheers,

hi @all,
so i filled in the data and checked it - should be ok.
if someone wants to look for mistakes in the tables and test the links, i would be happy!
anyhow:
...we are ready to go, after cleaning up the thread
sorry anne for the extra work, and thank you for your help!
edit: i rounded up the wordcount in each case (>15 -->100), so that reeaders will always have less words to read. maybe we should mention that? or maybe i shouldn't have done that, please tell me in that case!
i thought it to be more convenient, to be sure to have to read less than... words.
cheers,
schrm
