not sure if that changes much, I also have 12 and 6 but I have 0 instead of 150 in the frequency smoothing. That is the only difference. :hmm: But as I don't really know what those are, I don't know if that is the problem LOL
Okay, I'll change it to 0 and see if it makes any difference. Maybe I will have to turn up the volume on the mic, too.

Hi, here are my 3 sections! Sorry for the delay.
better late than never, Michael, and it was well worth the wait. Excellent readings :9: I enjoyed them very much, especially because they all were a sort of continuity, all dealing with the war-chapters. Good choice to read them in a row.

Sections 28 and 30 are PL ok.

Small error for Section 29:

> at 3:27-3:32: this pause feels a bit too long for comfort :?

> at 3:32-3:37: “You may not know it, but if you have been in one raid, or one bombardment” – stumble and repeat, it seems you forgot to cut out the faulty sentence

Thanks !

Sonia

Part 3, Chapter 2, The White Sister
Part 3, Chapter 3, Romola
thank you again, Caroline. Two wonderfully read chapters. Both PL ok. What I found interesting was that Lilian herself was helping along with the cutting of the final movie. Nowadays, actors would not do that job. Back then they were working with a much smaller crew.

thank you, Caroline. Another wonderful chapter :9: Now I am surprised that Lilian is even writing the scripts of her movies. She really was doing everything that nowadays is spread among many different people.

Textually, no errors, but you forgot the outro this time. Could you insert "End of Part 3, Chapter 5" at the end, please ?

Thanks

Sonia

Sonia, yes I was struck by the varied tasks she did as well. Also the description of filming the death scene reminded me of Meryl Streep in (I think it was) Barfly. Apparently they were worried she'd actually died as well.

ah I didn't know that ! Interesting. I need to read up on that. Yes some actors are really getting into their role. I can understand that feeling though. I have the same when I'm recording drama for LV.

Your section is PL ok now. Thanks.

ONE LEFT !!!!! So close.... :9:

Ok, I'm bringing up the rear here, and if this chapter passes inspection, the book is finished.

Woohoo! Release the confetti!! :D

Woohoo!! :9: I can't believe the book is practically done! Thank you, Caroline, for bringing it home, and to everyone else who contributed: John, Betty, David, Chuck, Michael, Andrea, Eva, Kathleen, Linda, and Jude. You're all wonderful readers, and no doubt our listeners will enjoy this slice of cinematic history thanks to your talents.

And thank you, of course, to Sonia for her dedicated PLing. I don't know how much more interested she is in this subject, but at least now she can claim to be better versed in the world of silent films. :D

*throws confetti* it IS done !!!! The final chapter is PL ok, thanks to your flawless reading, Caroline. Wow, the race across America to London and back to Los Angeles in so short a time and with a woman who had a stroke  what an adventure.

Well, Tomas, I definitely know more about silent films now and how much work was involved for the actors and everybody else in the early days. It wasn't big corporations yet, like nowadays, it seemed more like family. In a way it was probably better.

This was an interesting project, and thanks to all the great readers who made my PL job so agreeable. :9:

David, this project can get archived now, as far as I am concerned. :D
