This is PL OK, Nemo.
Ava has not been around for awhile, so if you'd like to help us get caught up and would like to PL a few sections, say starting with 10, I'd be grateful for the help. I appreciate the offer.
OK, to start, I'll take 10,11,12,13 for PL!

Sections 10,11,12 and 13 are PL OK.

One note for Kathleen in section 12 - June. In the two cases where the "Catalpa" tree is mentioned, you say "kat-al-pa" instead of "kuh-tal-puh". see pronunciation here = http://www.dictionary.com/browse/catalpa

I marked it PL OK, but just mentioning it in case you want to correct. If you do, upload again and I'll spot PL!

Thanks, Nemo!

I thought I might have time tonight, but am swamped, so if you want to take some more, feel free. Reader for Section 18 is new, so if you do that one, be sure to check specs.

Yeah, usually we're not supposed to comment on pronunciation. I've had my knuckles rapped a few times for doing so. Some readers ask for further comments and suggestions which gives us a little more room for comments. If it makes a real difference in meaning or comprehension, then I think it is good to point it out, like "gill" for "guile" or, "prostate" for "prostrate" (Yep, had that one). A recent favorite was "Tremendulous" for "tremulous."

Hi Larry, here are the last two PL's:

Section 19 is PL OK ... nice reading Tom!

Section 20: Since Eva likes to have her pronunciation checked, I have the following comments. There were three places where the flower "orchises" was said with a soft "ch" as in chaff instead of a hard "k". These were:

"there will after a time be no daffodils or orchises left in England" (8:36)
"If one were sure of it, one would never pluck a bee-orchis again" (8:42)
"Why not bee-orchises for wartwort, and gentians for chickweed" (12:54)

Once this is fixed and back up for spot PL, I'll give it another listen!

Thanks!

I even looked this up, and I *still* flubbed it! (three times.) Thanks for catching it.

Here is 20 for spot PL, with the pseudo-word "orch-iss" confined, hopefully, to the dustbin of history ...
