"there will after a time be no daffodils or orchises left in England" (8:36)
"If one were sure of it, one would never pluck a bee-orchis again" (8:42)
"Why not bee-orchises for wartwort, and gentians for chickweed" (12:54)
Thanks Suzanne! ... congrats on your first recording ..and 13 minutes at that!
Very nice job!
I've marked this PL OK, however I have a couple of comments. First the volume is borderline low at 86 dbs. This is the bottom end of our acceptable range of 86 to 92 (and we prefer to be at 89) Just something to watch for on future recordings. Second, there are sections where your recording has very little background noise and sounds great, but in others there is a loud hum that sounds like a fan running. To see what I mean, listen to the recording from 10:40 to 10:55 where the background noise is great ... then at 10:56 you will hear it pick up as if something was turned on. While it's not so bad at to require correcting, it could use some noise cleaning if you want it to sound better. Also something to watch for future recordings.
