An error in MP3, Germinal Émile ZOLA, I - 6 (16:20-16:31)

There is a technical error, a double voice, at this MP3 file from 16:20 till 16:31:

http://ia601406.us.archive.org/26/items/germinal_fr_1411_librivox/germinal_06_zola_64kb.mp3

It is "Germinal" by Émile ZOLA, part I - 6. At first I thought it was an error of my download, then I listened this part online in a browser. And these eleven seconds of double voice are present in the MP3 file on the server too.

It is a pity because I really like how Françoise reads.

The reader hasn't posted for over 2 years , so I'm not quite sure there is a way of fixing it that will not make things worse :(
Unless it is a very common phrase we could get from his other sections :hmm:

Rasseneur l'examinait de nouveau; et il y eut, sur son visage, un changement rapide, une sympathie soudaine. Enfin, il a dit à sa femme:

-C'est Maheu qui m'amène Monsieur, un herscheur à lui, pour voir s'il n'y a pas une chambre en haut, et si nous ne pourrions par faire crédit d'une quinzaine.

Alors, l'affaire fut conclue en quatre paroles.

These are the sentences which got mixed up. I could record them, but it will be the mixture of female and male voices. Besides, French is not my mother tongue. I speak French with a slight accent.

It's a coincidence certainly, but it is one of the most impressive moments of the story. Rasseneur refused a credit and a room in his hotel to Étienne, but when Étinne said that he knew Pluchart, another worker kind of active in an union, Rasseneur changes his mind suddenly. And the affair was concluded in four words.

aradlaw has a backup of this. Maybe contact him to check and see if this glitch is present in the backup file in case it happened somehow in the transfer of the file to archive during cataloging.

Hello,

I don't know if this will do, but I found someone who read the same book and has a similar voice; Pomme. Here's the link to her recordings of the book: http://www.litteratureaudio.com/livre-audio-gratuit-mp3/zola-emile-germinal.html
I cut the part from Pommes recording and pasted it over the glitched part in Françoises recording, then I modified the silences between the new part and Françoises track to improve the transition.
Next I used the Checker on the audio file and increased the volume level to 89 dB by amplifying the whole track, and that's it!

Here's the edited audio file (I kept the original name): https://www.dropbox.com/s/p4h51q39eth1f9c/germinal_06_zola_64kb.mp3?dl=0
(You can check the recording by going to the time 16:10 in the recording)

Thanks for the effort, but we put our recordings into the Public Domain, which means we don't SA (share-alike, with the same CC license) and we don't NC (we don't restrict commercial use of recordings). So I'm afraid we won't be able to use this person's voice.

The best we can hope for is a current LibriVox reader to record the bad audio. At this point, I think we would be okay if the reader's voice didn't closely match the original.

I think the problem is that our francophone readers normally don't read this forum. We have multiple active readers with a similar vocal range. Listen, for example, to the last cataloged project in French:

https://librivox.org/veillees-du-chauffeur-by-tristan-bernard/

If someone wants to send them an PM, I'm sure one of them would be willing. I can help you write the message in French, if you want.
