The volume is still just a tad high at 94.7dB and should be between 86-92dB.

Sorry about that, Anthony. But I think I've figured out to set the mic at the right dB level now.

How do you check the dB level after you've recorded? (I'm still a newbie.) hmm:

alternately there is a program called mp3gain that you could try as well.
