The other day I'm in my office doing a task I have that's take a few hours when I'm by myself. I'm zoning out and listening to a new Librovox recording. This one is a collection of Edgar Allen Poe's Creepy Stories ( The Tell Tale Heart, Masque of the Red Death, etc ).
My task is repetitious and really doesn't require a whole bunch of brain power so I'm rather into the stories being read.
It's gotten into one of them and I'm still listening ( I don't remember which one it was but I want to say it might have been 'The Raven' )
And suddenly there comes a knock on the office door.
I can tell ya'all I JUMPED!! so high!
