Paul, how do you want your name and URL to appear in the catalog? Also, if you want to write up a brief description of the book, that would be great. If you don't want to, I can look on wikipedia or we can ask someone else to help out with it.

um.... let me think about it... I'll get back to you by tomorrow at the latest.

I also just realized that there is a preface that I failed to record... I'll get that done tonight too...

I just uploaded the preface/author's note to my server.

http://librivox.wwc.edu/oz/marvelous_land_of_oz/marvelous_land_of_oz_00_baum.mp3

I also changed all the Mp3 tags slightly. The Comments field is the same on all of them as the preface. If you could change the ones you've already downloaded to match the tags of the preface I'd appreciate it, but if you don't want to take the time that's fine to.

How this for an introduction/summary...
The Marvelous Land of Oz is the second of the Oz books. It follows the adventures of the Scarecrow, the Tin Woodman and Tip.

The Emerald City has been taken over by the Army of Revolt, and our adventurous friends need the help of Glinda the Good to return it to its rightful ruler.
As for the name and url listed with it, just put my name (Paul Harvey) and use my librivox wiki url (http://librivox.org/wiki/moin.cgi/harvpa).

Takes too much time to maintain a "real" website... :)

Thanks!
Paul....

Thanks for the info and the summary.

I've got the preface and will add it to the project. I had actually meant to talk to you about the ID3 tags, I went ahead and changed them to reader friendly versions, for instance Album is "The Marvelous Land of Oz" and Artist is "L. Frank Baum" -- is that okay or do you want me to change them back? Let me know and then I can start the big upload.

Paul, could you check the preface/author's note? All I'm getting is the Librivox disclaimer and book intro.

I went from forgetting to add the disclaimer and book title, to having only that in the file... :)

I've fixed it and re-copied it to my server. Same URL as before.

I was wondering about the mp3 tags, but for some reason thought that they were supposed to be in the format I had put them in. Now when I look I see that it should be the way you're suggesting.

Thanks for helping me with my first book errors.

Paul I hate to say it.
But I downloaded the preface for the Land of Oz, and it had 2 LibriVox intro's. The seconded sounded weaker that the first, but it did have the preface and notes.

I'll fix it in a little bit....

-- EDIT....

Hopefully the 3rd time's a charm... I've redone and uploaded it once again to my server... :)

Paul, they probably were supposed to be in that format at the time you started this project. That was before we realized that ID3 tags were not like filenames and that we could make them more readable. Now we do them in the more readable version but all of our early projects will have the older style tags. Anyway, no error on your part but thanks for updating them!

Also - I got the author's note and preface so we're all set to go now!

It's not live yet so look it over and make sure everything looks right and then I'll put it in the catalog!
