This has been a long time coming -- very little quiet around here lately (the isolation of this past weekend's storm was spoiled by the noise of sleet on the skylight), and this chapter was nearly twice as long as the previous have been...but Chapter 6 is done at last! I have a chapter for another book to finish next, and then I'll move on with An Old-Fashioned Girl.
