May I also read Section 122 - the landlord? If so, I have a question about how to read the following sentence:
"He is also Corregidor (or mayor) of Toro."
Should I say all of these words or omit the bracketed ones? I'm not sure if the bracketed two words are like a footnote for the reader or if the idea is that the landlord actually explains to Carlos that a Corregidor is a kind of mayor.

Thanks so much! I think he's saying them as if he's explaining to Carlos (or at least that would make the most sense to the listener).Salvationist wrote:May I also read Section 122 - the landlord? If so, I have a question about how to read the following sentence:

Before you start recording here, we ask that you submit a One Minute Test. It is nothing to worry about - it is to make sure you are recording using the right tech specs!
Here is the link to a guide on the 1 Minute Test: http://wiki.librivox.org/index.php/1-Minute_Test

Certainly! (Thanks Charlotte!) What name would you like to be credit under in the catalogue? It can be your real name, a pseudonym, or whatever you want. I can also link to a personal URL if you'd like. One note about the roles--are you sure you want those? I just wanted to make sure you knew that De Seso is a man and Juanita is a girl (there are other male and female roles if you'd prefer both of them to be the same.) Thanks!Scorzonera wrote:this will be my first Librivox contribution, so i'll start with something small. could i have the roles of De Seso and Juanita the maid please?

just "Joe" would be great for my catalogue name thanks!
and yeah, i'm aware; i picked the two parts because they were in different chapters so hopefully listeners won't get confused
