silverquill wrote: December 31st, 2021, 2:35 pm Hi!

Just checking in to see if I can help out in some way.
I've cleared some of my major projects. I could help out with narration or PL or something.
Hi! Well, it looks like the narration of volume 2 will open up over new years (I'm giving him until monday to get back to me), but these are pretty big jobs, just so you're aware.
Other than that, it looks like I will finally be able to record again in a month or two, and I'm gonna need someone to PL for me then.
Yes, I've looked at the scripts for some of these chapters again, and know how big the narrator parts are. I could do vol 2 or 5, whatever helps the most.
I can sign you up for 5 then:) I'll add you to the mw tomorrow, I'm on my phone, but consider it yours:)

Take a look at the pronunciation guide if you need it, I'm being a little strict with names and certain words, most specifically "francs". And a happy new year to you! (We're 40 minutes away from midnight here)

Well, happy new year!

Thought I would get my first chapter recorded. I did my best on the pronunciations. Not all are in the guide, but I used other online resources. Better to make any changes now than repeating them in future chapters.

Narrator chapter 96 PL
Great reading, just a couple of notes:)

09:50 - Mispronounce Valintine, it should be more like Valentin: https://librivox.org/uploads/maryannspiegel/montecristopronounce/Valntine.mp3
10:02 - The line is "whom he complimentet", you said "whom complimentet him"

Does this project still need a narrator for Volume 2? Sorry if I'm not reading this post correctly--I'm new!

Edit--just saw the posting above. If there are any other roles, then I would be happy to help!

You may! I'm on my phone right now, but I'll sign you up in the mw later. Just be aware, it's a big job. How we do it is; you record a chapter or two, I PL them and give you feedback, and then you do the rest before I PL them all. That way, you won't record a lot that you have to go back and fix, and I won't have to PL a lot of extra in case you need to withdraw.

Mostly, I'm a stickler for French/Italian names and well as the word francs. If you come across place names etc that you don't find in the pronunciation guide, I would suggest looking at forvo if you're uncertain :)

Enjoy reading, and let me know if you have any questions!

Hi, and welcome to librivox! As you saw, we just filled up our last role. There aren't any right now, but of one should become available, I'll post about it here :)
If you want to help out projects coming towards their finish, I'd suggest hanging around the orphaned roles post.

Chapter 57
02:39 - Ma foi is mispronounced, foi should sound like this: https://forvo.com/search/foi/
Thanks! I apologize in advance for my French accent. Let's try this (2:49):

03:35 - Pronounciation of Pharaon, the second a needs to pronounced as well, something like this: https://forvo.com/word/pharaon/
I hope I didn't mutilate it too much:

Chapter 50
04:56 - You say "those are the most precious family treasures.", the line is "those are our most precious family treasures." A bit nitpicky, but 'our' makes it seem even more important.

Kristingj wrote: November 25th, 2021, 3:18 am And the rest of Maximillian!

Chapter 73
(9:05) 09:40 - You say "Oh you", it's "On you", and as it's an answer to a question that was just asked, it makes no sense with "Oh"
(12:28) 13:30 - Sounds like you say "a kind of feeling", it's "a kind feeling"
I added the correct time stamps in red:
