Tish - Chronicle of her Escapades and Excursions by Mary Roberts Rinehart (1876 - 1958).

This project is now complete! All audio files can be found on our catalog page: http://librivox.org/tish-by-mary-roberts-rinehart/

Volunteers outside the USA: Mary Roberts Rinehart died in 1958. The author's work may be protected by copyright in places like Europe, where copyright is author's death plus 70 years or Australia (author's death plus 70 years for authors who died after 1955).
The story of three "middle aged ladies" follow along as they have all sorts of adventures. ( Sandra)
  • Text source (only read from this text!): http://gutenberg.org/ebooks/3464
  • Type of proof-listening required (Note: please read the PL FAQ): standard

IMPORTANT - soloist, please note: in order to limit the amount of languishing projects (and hence the amount of files on our hard-pressed server), we ask that you post an update at least once a month in your project thread, even if you haven't managed to record anything. If we don't hear from you for three months, your project may be opened up to a group project if a Book Coordinator is found. Files you have completed will be used in this project. If you haven't recorded anything yet, your project will be removed from the forum (contact any admin to see if it can be re-instated).
Please don't download or listen to files belonging to projects in process (unless you are the BC or PL). Our servers are not set up to handle the greater volume of traffic. Please wait until the project has been completed. Thanks!

Firstly you need to post the template you filled in . If you still have it post it in your first post , otherwise I'm afraid you will have to fil it the template out again
Your post should like look the other posts in this thread without the MW
Even if it has blanks you will not get an MC until it is filled in , and the fewer blanks you have the better - so maybe find the answers first ?

I am so sorry, I think in the information I spelled her name wrong, Rineheart instead of Rinehart. I hope this does not pose too much of a problem.

This isn't PD for Life+70 countries. I'll put that in the first post. :) I don't know what copyright laws China has.

Hi Tricia:

Not sure if I understood that shorthand, sorry. This isn't in the public domain? it is in the Gutenberg collection and online in other places too. China has laws but no one obeys them, pirated dvd's, cd's books bags, watches the lot, they don't care about other countries laws as long as the country and the people are making money. So I figure I am safe here but I would rather not for conscience sake do something against copyright laws in other countries.

Anyway China is sort of a moot point as I am heading back to Canada in the Spring.

Sorry if I misunderstand.

It looks like China is a Life+50 country, so you're safe there or in Canada, even if the authorities wouldn't come after you. ;)

I posted it before looking up China's copyright law. But I also posted it for any DPL that might come along. If someone in Europe or Australia wanted to listen to this, they would be breaking their own country's copyright law. :)

So, bottom line: You're OK; a potential DPL may not be. Carry on! 8-)

Thank you, I am quite excited.

How can I find out about copyright length of time in different countries?

Okay! I'm cataloging a project today, so I have room for this one on my MC plate. 8-)

You should be set up. You're a new soloist/BC, correct?

Detailed Instructions for accessing the Magic Window can be found in the document linked below:
Instructions for BCs and DPLs

If you don't like Google Docs, the same information is available in our wiki, here: http://wiki.librivox.org/index.php/BC%27s:_How_to_update_the_Magic_Window

Videos showing how to use the Magic Window, and how to use the new uploader (read the above document first - it has the information on how to log in for the first time, which these do not have):
Magic Windows / Section Compiler: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nOP4tcr1kl8
Uploader: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KKfdg8Xbcw8

I've entered the first couple section titles for you as a suggestion of how to do them. You don't have to do it exactly that way if you don't like it. I also shortened the file name.

I'm setting you free. Holler if you have questions!

I've put you in, assuming that Sandra doesn't have another DPL lined up. Thanks!
