Thanks, MaryAnn! I'll listen today. I'm still awaiting one or two summaries, but I'll catalogue as soon as I have them.

Great reading, MaryAnn! There are three little spots - not important, and it's up to you whether you'd like to fix them:

p. 218
10:14 'he found the boat was not all on the plate' (i.e. some of it was, but not all of it)
I hear 'he found the boat was not at all on the plate'

p. 220
11:54 'over the ship from stem to stern'
I hear 'over the ship from stern to stern'

p. 230
23:36 'there was no sham about the services they rendered'
I hear 'there was no shame about the services they rendered'

What a fascinating account. I knew little about the use of camouflage during WWI, but I do know that the skills were used to great effect during WWII. In particular, Operation Fortitude South was a deception employed to convince the Germans that D-Day would take place from the south-east coast of England and land at the Pas de Calais region, rather than in Normandy. Just along the coast from me at Dover, a 'dummy' invasion force was constructed in fantastic detail. It was very successful.

Ruth,
I'll get those fixed. I was reading from my tablet and should have increased the font size!

Thanks for all your work on this Ruth - and I've got dibs on PLing the next volume if that's ok. Our readers find the most interesting material on this subject, and there is still a lot for me to learn in listening.
