Yes, you may. Thank you for volunteering.

I didn't realize this until researching the play, but Mr. Dearth is considered the leading male role in the play.

David O,

Sorry for the typo I was going to volunteer to read but I have never done a play and I wasn't sure how to record it, so ll sit this one out until I get more experience.

Natalie,

A play is actually easier than reading other things in Librivox (unless you are the Narrator). At the beginning of the first recording you state your role and name such as, "Mr. Lob read by David Olson" and then your read all the lines for your character, one act per mp3 file. You don't read it as "Mr. Lob said, I wanted you to ..." just the actual line he said "I wanted you to ..."

You edit for errors and maybe do a bit of noise cleaning then upload your file.

The Narrator will take care of the disclaimers, beginnings, and endings. Someone else, in this case me, will edit all the different roles together into the final acts.

Mr. Lob is the smallest role left unclaimed in this play, you could give that a try. This play is being cast "Gender Neutral" which means that you don't have to be a male to read a role labeled Mr. Lob. He is an elderly elfish gent and a bit different from the rest of the world so don't worry about if you have a high-pitched voice.

Oh my. I was literally one minute too late to put my hand up for Mabel Purdie.

May I read the Narration instead? :)

Tricia,

Thank You for your reading. MW has been updated.

Don't worry about the file name, since Margaret is only in one of the acts, I think I will be able to keep it straight.

Natalie,

Please record a missing line.

LOB. That's enough. (Warningly.) Don't you go, Mrs. Dearth. You'll catch it if you go.

Nice change of expression and voice to portray emotions. If there were more open parts here that weren't in the same Act, I would invite you to claim a few. Since there are not I encourage you to investigate and play with [OPEN] in the beginning of the thread title and have fun.

Tricia,

Could you really balance a biscuit?

PL OK

Nicely read !! For a second I thought you had left in a repeat, but that was the way script was written.
