Interesting documents about voice care and training for teachers from Australia. They are PDF's, download and save a copy.

This material is excellent. Voice exercises are included-reading and breathing practice! I love googling.

My voice strains very easily, this information looks very helpful. Does anyone else have links or resources they find helpful?

Becky

Thanks Becky. These are very helpful reads.

Around here we're sharing loads of info and hints and syggestions on the "how to do it," of actually recording or "curing" of ailments, but what doesn't come up often enough is discussion is how to prepare our voices and how to prevent problems from occuring. We're so very enthusiastic, sometimes overly enthusiastic about recording that we forget to take care of ourselves with enough sleep (HA!) and general good care of our apparatuses.

Thanks for the links!

Thanks Alan,

I am planning a LV pre-disclaimer warm-up. It is too easy to forget to care for our voices. I am a bit more concerned because my sister developed nodules and had to stop teaching. I don't sing like she does (count your blessings) but teaching is vocal cord torture.

I am working on the water and keeping peppermints handy. Sleep is probably the number one step I need to take right now, the second is warming up, third finding my session time limit. To our vocal chords, may they Librivibrate for hours to come!

Becky
