I only just noticed this topic.. that'll teach me for not visiting often enough.

I'd volunteer my place for a BBQ and some readings. QLD even has a long weekend this weekend.. but looks like I'm the only one at my BBQ
You are welcome to join us on Gizmo at the appointed time. :D

We would definitely give you your Librivox Scout badge of honor if you joined us for the gizmo call at 4am your time.

This might be a good time to remind people about the pleasures of time zones.
We are meeting at 6pm Greenwich Mean Time. Most of North America and Europe is on Daylight savings time so adjust for local time accordingly.

For a reference point. It is currently 8:18 am EDT here in Ontario Canada. The Conference call is at 2pm.-- a little under 4 hours from now. Check the timestamp of this message and add 4 to help you meet us.

Esther and I are here in beautiful Midland, Ontario Canada. Skype and Gizmo are both running and we are available for conversation.

Skype: ductapeguy
Gizmo: ductapeguy

We'll meet you all in my gizmo conference room in about 2-1/2 hours.

Type conference into Gizmo.
Now here's the non-intuitive tricky bit. You cant paste the conference number into that window, you have to punch it in on the virtual dialpad. (See the tab bar at the top).
We'll see you there.
Room # 5541608.

ductapeguy wrote:I suggest a gizmo conference call at 2pm EDT, 6pm GMT, 11am PDT On Saturday May 5 in my Gizmo Chat room. I know more people have skype but here's my reasoning.

1) I already have a gizmo conference room set up, and have used it occasionally.
2) Gizmo has a built in record function. A low bit rate record function but a record function nonetheless.
3) There are gizmo clients for MAC, WIN and Linux-- (Ventrilo does not have a linux client).
4) There is a way to call the gizmo conference room from a telephone for those who do not have gizmo installed on their computers.
5) It's free.

Details are here
Here is your Gizmo Conferencing Account Information

On GIZMO, type CONFERENCE

From a regular phone, call #1-712-432-4015

Enter Conference Room Number : 5541608
Click Here to send invitations for a conference call.

Print this page for future reference.

Features Available During the Conference

*1 Play menu of features so you know what's available

*2 Mute your own line so other people can't hear you talking

*3 Unmute your line so you can contribute to the conference

*4 Hear the number of callers who are on the conference

For support go to http://support.gizmoproject.com
Please visit http://www.gizmoproject.com/conf-calling.html to get your own free permanent room number.

Thank you for using Gizmo Conferencing powered by Vapps.

Ideas-- Mass recitation of the disclaimer.
A few words from Hugh, Dan, Kara???

Mass recording of the weekly poem-- or Jabberwocky again??

sean - From 8:20 ish to 2:00, wouldn't that be 5 hours and forty minutes not 4 as it would count 8:20 - 9 - 10 - 11 - 12 - 1 - 2

The Midland chapter of the Worldwide meeting will now retire to the patio for a sumptious barbecue lunch of barbecued chicken and corn on the cob. We'll see you all in 80 minutes.
