Hi there and welcome to Librivox!

I see you are just starting your Librivox career, so the first thing you should do is to record a short one-minute test (see our Librivox wiki). This is not an audition, but simply to make sure you got our technical requirements right.

Then, we also recommend to start with a short contribution somewhere before tackling a solo. Lots of newbies underestimate the time it takes to record an entire book. It's not only the recording part, but more importantly, the editing part that takes a lot of time. At the moment, we only have two Spanish projects looking for readers:

(Personally, may I suggest "La Dama Duende" - it's always very difficult to find native speakers for a non-english drama project

Once you feel a bit more secure about what you're supposed to do and how our processes are working, you can start the solo you're suggesting above.

Which brings me to my last nagging:
- Please include a link to an online text (an edition from 1915, or at least pre-1923)
- You will need a summary, not necessarily now, but before the project can be catalogued.

I looked up the author on wikipedia, and it says there that "leer y escribir" (reading and writing?) is an "essay"? If this is the case, and it is shorter than 8000 words, it can go in our "Multilingual Short Works Collection". That makes things easier for everybody involved (and it would be okay to have it as your very first recording - after the test, of course).

Hopefully I did not overwhelm you with all that info - have fun on here!

Moving this to Book Suggestions to keep the Launch Pad tidy. Once you've got your test done and have done a couple sections elsewhere as suggested, post in this thread and one of the admins will move it back to the Launch Pad for you.
