Has the NaNoWriMo project fallen apart.
Have I fallen apart?
Isn't it to start. gulp, dare I say?
Someone please direct me to the right spot.
(Besides the Wiki organizational pages that have stalled.)

I think it's still alive.
And it's starting. Tomorrow. (Well... in some places of the world today...)
I don't know exactly where to point though. Your email, perhaps? I think Gesine sent out an email.

In my experience, nothing ruins a party like someone suddenly speaking Latin in reverse.

I can hear the sound of a pen scratching on parchment... It's coming from the direction of.... Finland? Hmm!
Not at the particular moment I'm afraid, since I'm at work. But soon, my friend. Soon.earthcalling wrote:I can hear the sound of a pen scratching on parchment... It's coming from the direction of.... Finland? Hmm!

Alan, I sent an email to all writers yesterday; did you not get it?

David
Hmm. I sent it from the writely.doc feature. Of course I didn't cc myself. I'll ask Anita to send it to me, then send it round again. Sigh. Emails are soooo unreliable these days.

Yes, Gesine, thank you very much. I DID get it. It's just that sometimes I like to just see simple instructions, sort of a summary of things, just to be sure I didn't get lost in all of the details.
Please know that I work with 100 teenagers everyday and that's what I do with them so they don't get overwhelmed by the details of my instructions. Yours are fine, great, very good instructions. Helpful. Was just looking for a confirmation of my own understanding. Very mucho, thank you, grazie, danke, merci.

I think the mixup for me was that I got an email and the email was sorta instructions but was also directions to go elswhere for more. Still, please, for me at least, don't worry. I think I understand my full duties and responsibilities and the extreme pressure I've put myself under! Ha!Gesine wrote:Hmm. I sent it from the writely.doc feature. Of course I didn't cc myself. BTW: I went to the NaNoWriMo site and couldn't see that we (LibriVox) signed up. Couldn't find us among the 5000+ others. What's our user name?
What's happening with the chapters where people haven't signed on? Do we have a back up plan? Are there moles or LVspiders recruiting writers/readers? (Do I have to take off for the rest of the month to be certain this happens? Ha!)

100 teenagers, eh? Rather you than me... though they can be fun.
Glad you got the mail. Was afraid they hadn't sent... Re Nano - we don't really fulfill the conditions for participation, so I don't think we signed up. I was trying to get a volunteer to liaise with them, but so far nobody stepped forward. I'm too busy myself to take that on at the moment, I'm afraid.
Re unclaimed chapters... I'm sure we'll get more writers as the project goes underway. Some of us who have only one chapter so far might take another... others will hear about it and get inspired... I'm not worried. If you know some likely candidates, though, try and rope them in! :)
