hi, I had a bit of time, so I quickly made this file for you. Once very slow to copy, then at a natural pace, so you know where to stress:

https://librivox.org/uploads/xx-nonproject/french-desert.mp3
Recording time: 0:44 min.

If you wish me to listen to your attempt, just PM me once you're ready :)

Any chance you could do one more for me for the same project? This time, it can just be read at a moderate pace (I don't need the slowed version - I'm getting better at copying). It's isolated phrases:
M. Flourens
Examen du Livre de M. Darwin sur l'Origine des Espèces
Académie Française
Académie des Sciences
Institut de France
Thankyou if you're able :)

A project I'm BCing has 2 pages of a French quotation. Would anyone be willing to record it and then we splice it into the other reader's chapter?

Bonjour, mon Francophone friends, I have a 'paste-in' recording assignment request that's probably a little more involved than the usual French phrases and sayings - it''s entire paragraphs from chapter nine of 'The Voice and Public Speaking by John Poole Sandlands (a bi-lingual author apparently aiming mostly at bi-lingual readers ) Here's the link to the chapter: https://archive.org/details/b28123281/page/152/mode/1up and there is a total of four passages written entirely in French: pps 152,158, 161 and 170-171. (Exactly where to stop and start, is of course... self-explanatory shall we say). Merci very much and I'm sure we'll make a wonderful 'duet' of sorts for our listeners. Give me you handle and I'll give you full credit at the end when I tell them who I am.

Thank you,
Brize Crize

Fabuleux, Isad! Merci beau coup! I think our listeners are really going to enjoy the dual language presentation, adds an element of authenticity to the material (especially so if they at least dabble a bit in both languages of course). Looking forward to it!
