New Catalog Data Entry
I need people who are willing to help devote some time to adding our completed projects to the new catalog/database that we've been working on. We're going to set up a temporary log in, and I would like to hand it out to those of you willing to help. I'm setting it up so those that want to help will take on groups of 10 completed projects (one or however many). This should be pretty easy, just take some time to add all the information.
Those of you that want to help, please respond to this thread and I'll contact you later when I have the details. I don't need to know how much you can do, as long as you can committ to at least ten.

After this weekend, you can count me in.

Hm...I should have noted in the PM, but it's easier to tell you all here. When entering the description of a work, make sure to view the source of the catalog page, and get the description including the HTML. Otherwise it won't display paragraphs, it will all just be one chunk of text. At the very least, make sure that <p> and </p> surround each paragraph.
Gah. I didn't think of that. Will have to re-do my 10 descriptions tomorrow.kri wrote:Hm...I should have noted in the PM, but it's easier to tell you all here. A couple of tips:
Do a browser find for each project before you start entering data, to make sure it's not already there. (if it IS there, double-check to see that all data is entered correctly. It may have been only partially entered in the testing phase))
To get nice-looking descriptions, "view source" on the catalog page, then do a browser find for "blockquote". Select everything from after <blockquote> to before </blockquote> and paste all that into your project's description field.
Thank you for helping!

The blockquotes are unnecessary. They can be added in later when the description is used. Do not put in the blockquotes. Just the paragraph tags around each paragraph (one beginning and one ending around each).kayray wrote:A couple of tips:

Oh, ok. But they make the admin.php look a lot prettier :)
