Please forgive the group's name; it is not my fault.
Cigarettes after Sex
It's apparently an example of what they call Dream Pop. I don't care for all the lyrics---they are crude at times and often mawkish---but the atmosphere of the instrumentals is pretty compelling.

I checked out a Cigarettes After Sex songs compilation... It's OK but not really to my taste. It was described as "Bedroom Pop" LOL

Currently spinning the new Chtonic single on repeat. It's too short. I have to listen to it over and over

Based on the YT comments the lyrics deal with the events of https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/February_28_incident and specifically with the story of https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Uyong%CA%89_Yata%27uyungana and especially his daughter, who later came to be known as a singer.

Nice! Do you know the language of these lyrics? Is it Taiwanese, Mandarin, or a mixture??Piotrek81 wrote: ↑March 5th, 2023, 11:43 pm Currently spinning the new Chtonic single on repeat. It's too short. I have to listen to it over and over

I got the Bose music player working again (finally!) last night and gave myself a concert that included a couple of old favourites:
Beethoven's Waldstein sonata - the rapturous third movement of which starts at 14:14.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lbblMw6k1cU
Also, some of the glittering, passionate love songs of Robert Schumann (interpreted by Fischer-Dieskau)

I hope somebody else will enjoy them?

Classical music!!!!
I have learned the first and second movements of the Waldstein Sonata, and I have been working on the third movement. It is a really great piece.

I listen to a lot of instrumental music. I am a huge fan of surf guitar (which I play, albeit not too well) & Italian movie soundtracks from the 70s. Lately, I’ve mostly been listening to Link Wray, Duane Eddy, John Barry, Dick Dale, the Shadows, the Marketts, the Fireballs, & Ennio Morricone.
But I grew up listening to alternative rock, & my favorites there are Queens of the Stone Age, Calexico, TV On the Radio, the Cure, Nick Cave, & Soundgarden. And Tom Waits is awesome!

Here's something different... (One more try)
Forget it .... I can't get the thing to work.

NiziU poppin, do they do it better than the Koreans? I look at them and think they are too Momoland, and less than J, but yeah, they're alright. But wait, they're not K are they ? Momoland (Boom Boom) is ruined by the makeup they're given. I can put up with Elris POW POW now and then, it's cute. But I'm not so into Kpop, I only know pretty much one song per group, though with J, it's a few.YasuRexa wrote: ↑June 8th, 2023, 10:56 pm I enjoy listening to music that is fun and enjoyable to bop my head to. I've always been a big fan of rock music so I do try other genres every now and then. I've recently discovered the wonders of KPOP so I've been giving that a try recently. Please recommend some KPOP if you have any.
gugudan(구구단) I like their Chococo performance, but is that something every diabetic loves ? is it the music ? is it the visual, it makes you want to say 'GIMME CHOCOLATE' at which point you're back in J land aren't you
The other day I come across this awesome 30s TIKTOK (Danger, it's TIKTOK*, oh My !!) https://www.tiktok.com/@marin.cooking/video/7111627601235463426 now you tell me is that an awesome video ? That's why they ban tiktok in the capitalist places, because youtube just can't compete at all, on tiktok viral videos get WAY more views than youtube's best videos, youtube cannot compete, so they ban tiktok, and youtube annoys it's users to death with shorts. Listen to that music in the video, omg that's the bomb. I went and looked it up, artist is called wednesday capaella and you can't get that clip's music out of your head. There are two 3 minute music videos, one regular one halloween, and a one hour loop video on youtube at the moment.
I love it, it's got everything a good music video should have. Music, and Japanese FOOD.
