** Anne of Green Gables Tidbit **

Origin of the word "wincey" as used to describe Anne's dresses:

ch. 34 is done:
http://kayray.org/audiobooks/librivox/misc/ (it's in there somewhere...)

I enjoyed these chapters so much -- short and fun and easy-to-read (I keep putting off Thucydides for some reason, heheh)

*throws hands in air* ... as much as I love this story, I'm getting right tired of recording the chapters to find out they didn't record properly... I don't know how many times I had to re-record chapters 1 and 2 ... and now, on chapter 19, I had problems with weird skipping sounds in my recording and had to re-record it... then after the re-record, I started to edit it a bit, and BOOM! some gol'durn error and Audacity had the audacity to crash without saving the recording!!!

So.... at this point, I'm putting chapter 19 back into the pool, because I can't stand to read it one more time.

I'm new and thrilled that you're doing Anne of Green Gables. A dear friend has ALS and now she can enjoy my favorite book too!! Thanks so much, everyone who worked on this.

I'll try Chapter 19.

I say 'try' because while I've done audio before, this will be my first try at doing something here. :)

Anne seems so apropos to start with, since I loved the movie and book so much when I was little...plus, you know, now that I live on the island and all :P

wolvrin = Chapter 37

marlodianne = Chapter 19

Thank you both for selecting chapters. this is a very fun book to read (though Chapter 37 is a bit weepy). No worries about this being your first chapter... this is a good book on which to practice. If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to ask. Enjoy =)

And to round this up, I'll take chapter 38... which makes this book fully subscribed.

We're still looking at a completion date of Feb. 1, 2006. If you have trouble meeting this deadline, please just let me know; we can be flexible.

Enjoy your reading, Anne-girl =)
