A little backstory to this one:
A man goes missing after insuring his life in several companies. His son assures the companies that his father had died and the absence of the corpse can be explained by an intervention of alligators or buzzards. And yet....

When you sign your husband up to read some parts in the Drama forum and then try to coach him you get lots of silliness:

This was before there were more than 2 sexes. It struck me that people "of all sorts and conditions and sexes" were gathered, as if there were a dozen different sexes.

The line about them gathering "some in groups, some singly, some in twos or threes" also made me smile - since wouldn't "group" imply those in twos and threes as well?

I've had this one sitting on my computer since it occurred in November of 2019, from Fables Of Aesop and Others. It's supposed to go "timorous folks in the fable"...

My husband is working from home, as a software engineer for a company that develops speakers and other consumer audio electronics. He's upstairs in a spare bedroom; I'm on the main floor. This is what happens sometimes when he's troubleshooting:

I took about 10 tries to successfully step over a hassock and under the leaves of an artificial palm. I guess this is the result of stiffness from lack of exercise in the winter.
