That was a very interesting account. :D Great reading.

Hi Chapter 14 has on glitch:

At 27::08 I heard “ADIC for ADC” in “ Late in September I made a trip out to Headquarters, ADC to brief General Chidlaw and his staff on the past few months' UFO activity."

The remainder of the recording is excellent. :)

I'll PL section 15 by tomorrow night.

Cheers,
Betty

Another good catch, and of course, you're right again. :)

I've patched and re-uploaded chapter 14.

And I've also posted chapter 16.

Please, take your time Betty, there's no rush. I just had some free editing time
this weekend, and decided to make use of it. It'll be a few days before the next
chapter is ready, I'm sure.

I hope you're enjoying the report.

Thanks! :)

Hi Roger,

I've PL'ed section 16 and there's one glitch that needs attention:

At 48:21 I heard “possible” for “impossible” in “Nor is it impossible that these creatures could have reached such a state of development that they could visit the earth”

Other than that the file is super. :)

I really enjoy listening to this project. I've never seen a UFO personally, but I think this is a very large universe and to think that the earth is the only planet to hold intelligent life is in my opinion unwise.

Cheers,
Betty

That little error does rather change the meaning, doesn't it? :D

I've patched chapter 16 and re-uploaded.

Many thanks! :)

Chapter 17 has been posted.

This was an editing nightmare, I only hope it came out OK.

Thanks. :)

I've started to PL chapter 17 but because it's a lengthy file I'll have to finish listening to it by tomorrow.

Oh I spot checked section 16 and that's A-OK and good to go! :)

Best regards,
Betty

I started listening and I had to finish this chapter! :)

Chapter 17 has two glitches you may choose to redo:

At 54:33 Twice I heard “Aeronautical” for “Astronautical” in

“Mr. Durant, who is presently the director of a large Army Ordnance test station, is also a past president of the American Rocket Society and president of the International Astronautical Federation. For those who are not familiar with these organizations, the American Rocket Society is an organization established to promote interest and research in space flight and lists as its members practically every prominent scientist and engineer in the professional fields allied to aeronautics. The International Astronautical Federation is a world-wide federation of such societies."

At 1:01:11

I heard “of” instead of “or” in “"a mild form of mass hysteria or war nerves."

That was superbly read. :9:

Betty

Notice how the errors are late in the recording? Must have been fatigue...

I've patched the file and re-uploaded.

Warning - chapter 18 is going to be equally such a monster, or perhaps moreso.

Thanks for the great PL job on chapter 17, which, incidentally, was the end of the first edition. :)
