Praise for chocoholic (Laurie Anne Walden) via the 'Thank a reader' feature:
Dear Laurie-Ann

I am writing to say how much my wife and I enjoyed your reading of the Hounds of the Baskervilles. Neither of us had read the book but we had very vague memories of seeing the old Basil Rathbone film of the book, although we had forgotten how the book ended.

We both found your reading clear, crisp and enjoyable, and easily understandable by Australians. We were both drawn into the book and looked forward to driving so we could find out what was happening on the moors.

We listened to most of the book while on holidays in Tasmania and at times I thought it wonderful that we could listen to a book written by a Victorian era Englishman, read by an American (?) and listened to by two Australians on the opposite side of the world to both England and America.

Thanks again for a reading done very well - it was very much appreciated.

Praise for gypsygirl (Karen Savage) via the 'Thank a reader' feature:
Hello. I wanted to say thank you for the work you do on Librivox. I have listened to many works you have read for, especially when you were the sole reader, and have to say you are my favorite. Pride and Prejudice, Jane Ere, and the Scarlet Pimpernel series are among your best. Your character voices and accents are superb. Your pace and flow is perfect ( I find too slow a pace hard to follow, my brain is waiting for the next word before the reader gets there, lol). If you were to take a request, I would love to hear you solo a project such as Weathering Heights, or the Count of Monte Cristo. I think you would be spectacular. Thank you for the time you give to Librivox, I for one, truly appreciate it--- sincerely Sabogajaco
To Karen Savage - Jane Austen as it ought to be read. Your reading of Pride and Prejudice made me realise that there is no ending in sight to my appreciation of a remarkable writer's works and a wonderful reader's voice.
Thank you, thank you, thank you!!!!
Rahma.
I just finished listening to the recording of "Anne of Green Gables" read by Karen Savage and it was absolutely wonderful. It brought me back to when I read the book as a girl and how much it meant to me. Karen did a really great job of giving Anne a voice of her own and the making the story flow seamlessly. Thank you so much.

Praise for Adrian (Adrian Praetzellis) via the 'Thank a reader' feature:
Having recently finished "treasure island," I want to thank Adrian for his excellent reading and vivid characterizations! Long John will always have that accent in my mind, and he was the more menacing for his friendly tone. Kudos!

Thanks,
Zach C.
Dear Adrian Praetzellis and Librivox.org,
It is with a grateful heart that I compose this letter thanking you for your majestic reading of "Treasure Island" by Robert Lewis Stevenson. ( http://librivox.org/treasure-island-by-robert-louis-stevenson-2/ )
What a masterful storyteller you are! I hung on every word as you narrated the tale and really enjoyed the wonderful accents, voices, and singing that you employed to make the story come alive in such a delightful manner.
I truly am impressed and indebted to you for sharing your incredible gift of enthralling reading and also for your generous donation of a sizable amount of time to help give voice to the Librivox.org mission. I really appreciate you, and thank you kindly for your service.

I listened to your telling of the tale of Treasure Island while I was at work, and although my hands and eyes were busy typing in tedious database information, my mind was adventuring with pirates, treasure, ships, treachery and honor.

Thanks for making my workdays a true joy.

Best regards,
Beth K.

Praise for Great Plains (Great Plains) via the 'Thank a reader' feature:
I enjoyed the dramatic reading of Uncle Silas by Great Plains a whole lot. His use of accents and voices was very effective and made the book even more interesting. His blog no longer exists at the link, so he may no longer be an active reader. But I want to thank him anyway.

Praise for THynes (Tadhg) via the 'Thank a reader' feature:
Tadhg,

Thank you (huge) for reading. Beautifully done Hardy. Just beautifully done. I couldn’t wait to get to work today so I could pick up where I left off on “Madding Crowd,” though I already knew the ending, having read the novel several times.

Praise for ahab (Stewart Wills) via the 'Thank a reader' feature:
When I was in high school, I had a misguided teacher who assigned the book Moby Dick to the class, with the requisite book report and whatever else. Having discovered the pleasures of the sci-fi masters, the masterpiece of Melville's was a waste of $1.95 (yes, paperback books were about that price back then), and my book report, based on the movie, may have earned me a C-, no more.

I wanted to thank Stewart Wills for bringing the story alive for me. I look forward to hearing him read Lord Jim, which I am downloading as I write.

More praise for Andy Minter - I've downloaded almost everything you have recorded and so much enjoyed them, especially amazed at the narration of the Lancashire Witches and Some Experiences of an Irish RM. It's on my clamshell walkman phone - which has a touch sensitive surface - as I wander round the farm and stable the animals get more than they bargain for when they nudge my pocket for treats and your voice starts up! I googled your website, expecting to find a professional acting background - no! Your readings are just superb and I join your fan club with gratitude :D
