How do we know if a poem we want to read has been in some previous collection?

You can search in our catalogue here: http://librivox.org/newcatalog/

But it's perfectly OK if it's been done before, you can still read it! It's always nice to have more versions with different voices

All recordings are marked OK! I removed some extra silences here and there but nothing serious

I'd like to do "A Bronte Legend" by Lesbia Harford and "Shakespeare" by Matthew Arnold (going with an author/tribute theme here, I guess  ).

Hi and welcome to LibriVox!

Yup, just make sure that both poems are in the public domain, and record ahead!

Whether it's a big deal or not I don't know... but I noticed my recording of Cousin Kate is actually 2:27 long (not 2:17). Sorry!

I did a quick check, and it would seem that EE Cummings poem is still copyrighted, so it cannot be included in this collection. :(

Great readings, but there's a very thick background noise. Also, at the end of "Shakespeare" there's a little extra silence, 5 secs are enough :)

Hi JC,

My first contibution here. Hopefully it's alright.

Author: Robert Frost (1874-1963)
Title: In a Disused Graveyard

P3 URL: http://upload.librivox.org/share/uploads/jc/inadisusedgraveyard_frost_es.mp3

I can be referenced as Erik Stultz if it meets the necessary requirements.
