The Way of Perfection by St. Teresa of Avila(1515-1582) . [Translated by Rev. John Dalton](1814-1874).

This project is now complete! All audio files can be found on our catalog page: http://librivox.org/the-way-of-perfection-by-santa-teresa-de-jesus-avila/
El Camino de Perfección (trans.: The Way of Perfection) is a method for making progress in the contemplative life written by St. Teresa of Ávila for the sisters of her reformed convent of the Carmelite Order (Discalced). St. Teresa was a major figure of the Catholic Reformation in 16th Century Spain.(Introduction by Wikipedia)

IMPORTANT - soloist, please note: in order to limit the amount of languishing projects (and hence the amount of files on our hard-pressed server), we ask that you post an update at least once a month in your project thread, even if you haven't managed to record anything. If we don't hear from you for three months, your project will be opened up to a group project as soon as a Book Coordinator can be found. Files you have completed will be used in this project. If you haven't recorded anything yet, your project will be removed from the forum (contact any admin to have it re-instated).

    • If you wish, say:
      "Recording by [your name]"

OK, I think that's everything. Momof3Chihuahuas is planning to DPL, she will probably stop by later today to confirm.

Well, cool! 8-)

OK, setting it up took less time than I expected. You're all set. I did put Joy in as DPL, but if she cannot or if she didn't want to, I can always easily take her out.

Hi, yes, I'm here. Gotta go somewhere in a few minutes, but I'll be back later tonight. (I'll do the best I can to keep up; life got more complicated yesterday afternoon, but I might've found a temporary solution---I also need to check in on other projects later tonight or tomorrow.) I feel like sometimes I'm very slow at PL'ing (actually, I know I am), but I'll do my best. I like St. Teresa's writings, especially as read by Ann. Very uplifting! Thanks, Ann, & you too, Tricia!

Joy :)

P.S. If other people I'm PL'ing for read this and would prefer to get someone quicker at PL'ing, it won't upset me. But I'll chat with some of you later about it. One of these days life will be simpler & easier, I pray.

Great, I'm so glad that you could make here today, even with life getting more complicated for you. Don't worry about being slow with the PLing. It will get done when it gets done. But, if you need to drop out for whatever reason, don't feel bad about it. There are plenty of people who can pick things up if need be. And you can sneak in and listen anytime that you like. I will continue to send prayers your way!

Hi Joy,

OK, here we go. For this book, like the others, I won't be reading the footnotes, unless they are really necessary. About the Dedication and Preface, I did not read the last two paragraphs of Fr. Dalton's preface because he talks about the appendices, which I am not reading. So here is section 00, the dedication and preface, 13.7 MB and 14:58.

Hi, Ann,

I've downloaded the first 6 sections onto hubby's computer because our router isn't working. So I'm going to try to copy them onto a CD so I can listen that way. We can get a router soon from our ISP for only $9.95 shipping & handling. We're going to do that.

Anyway, I'll be back when I can with PL notes or PL OKs. :) Thanks!

Joy :D
