Volunteers sometimes come and go, or have more or less time... better maybe to point to one of the language threads in the forum. I know that for German, there is a thread in the Book Suggestions forum where the more active German-speaking volunteers post. This might be a good one to point to. There must be something similar for other languages.

Or we could add a general sentence:
If you have trouble understanding something in English and need help in your native language, please PM anyone from the LibriVox admin team (in English), and they will direct you to someone who speaks your language.

Good point.

There is a thread like that in French too, and I opened up one in Danish too (so far without luck, I guess not that many Danes around).
Hugh, I'd be happy to make a translation in Danish too, although all Danes below age 65 speak English. If needed, let me know.

We've got one in Dutch too, but wouldn't it be more logical to open language threads in the New Here forum?
We can point the people there in the welcome mail.

could we add the relevant links to the threads to the email, different for each language ?

Hugh.
Link added. Let me know if you want the Danish translation.

Hugh
I added:
I invite you to participate in the choice of Dutch books: http://librivox.org/forum/viewtopic.php?t=10312
I still think a new thread in the New Here forum would be better....
I would prefer to add a sentence like:
Our forums are mainly in English. If you want to write in Dutch, you can do that here:

Hugh
Let me know if you have any troubles or doubts about that!

Bye
Paola :)

Hi, is there interest for any other languages? I could do Norwegian, but as neckertb said, most scandinavians under a certain age have no issues with english, and the chance that they are here if they have issues, are very small.

I understand there's already a Portuguese translation, with Brazilian "accent" and syntax. Now I leave you here an European Portuguese translation:

http://librivox.org/volunteer-for-librivox

http://librivox.org/forum

Desejando-lhe o melhor,

Hugh.
