Neat numbers!

Not to mention that forum member #100011 will arrive this month too, maybe even #100101 or #100111. 8-)
And the number of languages with a completed recording is 101111... in binary!

November was a slow-ish month.

In November, LibriVox volunteers completed 94 projects (plus 3 already in December), bringing us to 1213 total projects for 2023.

We had 94 also in February, and the last time before that we were there or lower was November 2021 at 92 projects. Not that there's anything wrong with that... :P

Other stats:

Total number of projects 19403
Number of completed projects 18760
Number of completed non-English projects 2324
Total number of languages 100
Number of languages with a completed work 47
Number of completed solo projects 9912
Number of readers 13484
...who have completed something 13355

So it looks like there have been about 40 solo projects cataloged this month. That'll put us at 10,000 . . . sometime in February? :hmm:

In January, LibriVox volunteers completed 126 projects, bringing us to 126 total projects for 2024. (I bet you couldn't figure out that second statistic by yourself! )

This was the most cataloged projects in a month since last May.

Other stats:

Total number of projects 19647
Number of completed projects 18996
Number of completed non-English projects 2352
Total number of languages 100
Number of languages with a completed work 47
Number of completed solo projects 10048
Number of readers 13609
...who have completed something 13480

I cannot think of a way to determine the 10,000th solo project, unless it's by searching the catalog for completed solos, and then counting backwards. In that case, it's "Spun from Fact" by Pansy, recorded by . . . me.

Unless I missed it, I think we passed by the 19,000th completed project without noting which one it was. We are currently at 19070....so sometime at the beginning of this month. (74 this month so far) :-)

It's hard to tell exactly which one it'll be, if more than one were cataloged on the same day. We can try, though. :)

Is there a prize? Does it matter? Someone please give me the rationale for notating the 19000th completed project. Or the first or last project catalogued in a given year. I'm sure there is one, I just don't get it. :?
