Sadly, many plays don't seem to care or comment about location much - at least not so that it makes much impact on me. Sticking to interior scenes makes it easier to stage, I guess.

I read for this early in my Librivox career and had to ask for lots of pronunciation help.

Men's names: Telles Peres, Paixao Paishon, Pedrinho, Trigueiro
Creatures: piums, boroshudas, piraiba, jacare-tinga
City: Itacoatiara
Rivers: Castanho, Aripuanan

The only one that has stuck with me is jacare-tinga. I love the musical sound of it, but it is so very hard to work into a sentence in English conversation.

Oh, oops. I usually browse on my smartphone, and the title of the section is " news" so it didn't occur to me that this is where the recommendations would be.

However, the statistics page has more options like the "most viewed" section: books one had read 30 years ago and needs a reminder of their existence, books one had been planning to read 30 years ago and had forgotten all about them (I have plenty of those)...

Sorry for disappearing - as Tricia said, I had an attack of "Real Life", but it has normalised for now, so let's start staff picking again!


The staff has picked for June - there were so many books, especially non-fiction that I had a hard time to choose! We'll have to do this some time again!

This is a summer theme, obviously, so I'd like to keep it on the lighter side if possible

Especially welcome are suggestions of plays and poetry.
