This book is complete and all files are available on the catalog page here:
http://librivox.org/the-four-million-by-o-henry/

I am considering committing myself (no, that's not "having myself committed, although some might argue the necessity of that... :) ) to reading THE FOUR MILLION by O. Henry which is a collection of stories in the adult fiction realm.

Have read quite a few single chapters and poems as prior experience and I think I'm up the task.

excellent choice! ... I love O. Henry's stories and am glad to see someone ready to take on a complete collection of his works.

I know you said you're "considering"... but when you're ready, I'll be your Metadata Coordinator to help you with your files and catalog the project. You can either post links to the finished files in this thread, or you can send them to me via YouSendIt to betsie@betsie.info ... I recommend doing each story in it's own file.

If you have any questions about file naming, ID3 tags, or anything else in your process, please feel free to ask me =)

Enjoy your readings =)

Awesome! I'm glad you're ready to go.... I've put the project in the "To Come" section of the Librivox Catalog... just let me know if there is anything else I can do for you =)

Not only am I ready to go....I've done my first story and sending it to you via yousendit. That was fun :D

At this rate, I'll be done in no time. I don't want to give myself the pressure of a stated deadline because in this mad house, you never know what's going to happen :D but I am fairly efficient.

What do you think of the ID3 tags?

I've received your first story... very nice..

I'll store them here for you: http://betsie.info/librivox/fourmillion/

For ID3 tags, I recommend:
Title/Name: ## - Story Name
Artist: O. Henry
Album: The Four Million

Thank you for your feedback about the first story. :D

Here is the second one....can you believe that!?

I created the ID# tag the same way as the first one--I didn't look at my messages before generating the ID3 tags..ooops.
I'll make sure to do the next one as you suggested.

I've sent you Chapter #3. Here's the link if you need it.

Did I leave enough room between paragraphs etc? I tried to make sure there were no abrupt silences.

I've downloaded and listened to 5 and 6 ...

Sounds like a repeat that meant to be edited out in #6 (Service of Love) at about 11:00-11:12 "She braved it for a moment or two..."

=)

Ok, I've edited that out. Doh! That's what I get for rushing. Hubby needed the computer and I wanted to dash off another story.

On to #7 with no rushing this time :D :D
