I'm in Central Standard Time.
I remember how, in college, I got that part-time job as a circus clown, and how the children would laugh and laugh at me. I vowed, then and there, that I would get revenge.

D.E. Have you considered a Skypecast? Then you can have more people than 9 in on the conversation, and you have some moderator controls-- You can control who can talk at any given time.

It's a huge resource hog so one thing that helps is to close down as many other applications as possible.
Also, its quality is quite variable.
Try it another time and it'll be completely different.

Please let me know if you might be free

tomorrow, Jan. 4th, sometime or other between 16:00 and 19:00 GMT
or
Sunday, Jan. 6th, sometime or other between 16:00 and 19:00 GMT

If either of those works for most of us, we'll just go for it, and I'll talk individually with those unable to call in. If neither of those works for most of us, I guess we'll try for next weekend.

Please also feel free to give me a call to test your sound and do a bit of pre-chat chat! I'm on Skype as "D.E. Wittkower" or "d.e.wittkower" (not sure which, possibly both).

There's a slight chance that I could do it on Sunday, but I wouldn't count on it. Sorry! :(

Ok. I guess lets try tomorrow at GMT 20:00. Maybe at least a few of us will be able to talk together.

As for the rest of us, if you've got a moment, try to catch me on Skype sometime over the next week. I'd like to speak with each of you whenever it's convenient for you, if you feel like it. I'll try to stay on Skype for most of the day over most of the next week.

Robert -- I don't have a way to record from Skype in podcast-quality. Also, I'd really like these conversations to be very informal and speaking "on the record" makes me, at least, a bit self-conscious. I'd like to help, but I don't think this particular conference call will be available for use. If you can make it for the call tomorrow, we can talk about the community podcast then! If not, drop me a line sometime over the week.

Oops, I think I got the time wrong - I'm an hour too late and nobody's online. Silly as my Skype is usually on, but for some reason not today.

Sorry! Happy to try another day.
