Thank you! :D I could not find any chapter titles for this book, so I just filled in the MW: Chapter 1, Chapter 2, and so forth.

Hi, Grace!

Chapter 1 is PL OK

That was a little fun for me, as I had studied the Sepoy Rebellion back when I was doing my masters degree in history.

I was going to pass on this tidbit: In the case where the word "row" is describing a quarrel or fight, it gets pronounced such that it rhymes with "how" (instead of the way it's pronounced when you row a boat). It's a classically British word in this "quarrel" meaning.

I don't think you need to edit it in your recording, but in case it calls to you, you'll find it in this phrase at 10:55: "and you have no idea what a horrible row there would have been."

Thanks Lynette!

Yes, it looks like an interesting book! I was thrown for a little loop on the first chapter...I thought that Captain Mallet was going to be the main character with how it started out until I found out he's actually the villain.

Thank you for that correction! I thought I had heard it pronounced interchangeably before, but I guess I either heard wrong or heard it mispronounced. :D

I plan to take a break from recording for right now as I'm battling an eye infection and don't want to put any unnecessary strain on my eye. Hopefully it will clear up soon and I will be able to start back next week!

Yes, I had the same reaction about the positions of Mallet/George. Without having peeked ahead, I'm wondering if it will turn out that Mallet *is* actually the villain, or "just" the antagonist. . . Seems we will have some intrigue with this story!

Oh, no! I hope your eye heals well and quickly! I know how troubling that can be. Almost 2 years ago I got shingles on my head and eye, and my cornea got complications from that that I still have to put drops in every day for it. May yours not be anything like that!!

I'll be here when you're back at recording, no worries.

Ah...yes, it will be interesting to see how the plot goes!

Thank you! Oh wow, that sounds awful...specially the ongoing treatment. I've had a mild infection before and it cleared up pretty quickly, but this is a little more severe so I'm hoping it will clear out by itself without taking too much time.🙏🏻

Chapter 4 is uploaded!

Well, we were both(happily) wrong in our predictions of Mallet...he's actually the only main character who hasn't done anything wrong. I was happy with the twist it took! Henty duos are awesome and this is no exception!
