Prospective PLs, please see the Guide for Proof-listeners.

IMPORTANT - soloist, please note: in order to limit the number of languishing projects on our server, we ask that you post an update at least once a month in your project thread, even if you haven't recorded anything. If we don't hear from you for three months, your project may be opened up to a group project if a Book Coordinator is found. Files you have completed will be used in this project. If you haven't recorded anything yet, your project will be removed from the forum (contact any admin to see if it can be re-instated).

Please don't download or listen to files belonging to projects in process unless you are the BC or PL. Our servers are not set up to handle the greater volume of traffic. Please wait until the project has been completed. Thanks!

I didn't post a summary because I haven't read the book yet, so I don't know what happens, and I'm not sure how to find a public domain summary.

This is set up. :)

It's common to not have the summary ready at launch. There's no problem waiting until catalog time. :)

Hi, Doug! I have a DPL slot open. I'd enjoy proof-listening for your project.

Doug - I'm waiting on you to make sure LCaulkins is OK as DPL, and to make sure you can get inside the Magic Window. :)

Sorry for the delay — I was in Seaside, Oregon for a corgi beach takeover. Thanks for the reminder! LCaulkins is great, and I updated the Magic Window with the section titles and links to the text. Hopefully I can start into recording next weekend.

Posted the first section and marked it PL Ready! Hoping to start making more regular progress over the next couple of weeks since I've fallen a bit behind already.

Super - I've got it queued.

(you'll want to add the length of the sections to the Note box for each line)

Nicely recorded, Doug, and PL OK for Section 1

(A very minor constructive note that is completely optional: Some readers may better follow your story at a slightly slower speed. Your pacing between phrases, sentences, paragraphs is very nice, so it's possible to follow the fast tempo, but if you'd like to slow the track down a smidge, I'd recommend using "-4" in the "percent change" box of the Change Tempo effect. Using that effect will slow the speed down without changing your voice at all.) (Change Speed will affect the pitch of a voice as well as the speed.) I'm happy to spot-PL if you try this change, otherwise, we'll just move forward. :)
