Source text (please read only from this text!):This is a collection of reports on TikTok written for the Congressional Research Service with the aim of informing U.S. legislative debate. These reports describe the history of TikTok, how it works, and why some want TikTok banned in the U.S. Most of the reports focus on the legal issues and legislative proposals surrounding TikTok. The potential ramifications of banning TikTok are also discussed.
The oldest report was released on June 30, 2023, and the most recent report was released on April 25, 2024.
