If we don't hear from you for three months, your project may be opened up to a group project if a Book Coordinator is found. Files you have completed will be used in this project. If you haven't recorded anything yet, your project will be removed from the forum (contact any admin to see if it can be re-instated).

Please don't download or listen to files belonging to projects in process unless you are the BC or PL. Our servers are not set up to handle the greater volume of traffic. Please wait until the project has been completed. Thanks!

Ooooh, a mad-scientist story! We've seen that before (but then I was also thinking Wodehouse because of the golf course ha ha ha).
You picked a perfect place to break off between the 2 parts; I'll get to the next part tomorrow (Wednesday)... in Part 1, I heard just one tiny thing that needs fixing:

6:38 lithe, noiseless step (lithe has a long i, like life; https://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/lithe)

Looking forward to part 2 :D

Just one little thing to fix up in Part 2:
6:00 when the phone rang insistently (not: incessantly)

And........ there is actually still some more wrapping up that starts here:
https://archive.org/details/WeirdTalesV06N04192510/page/n142/mode/1up?view=theater
(that's the page where it goes to when it says "continued" down at the very bottom where you stopped)

Even with the wrapping-up, it's still not really clear to me just who the gorilla was... hmmmm. But there's just a little bit more; not enough for a Part 3, so it makes sense to tack it onto Part 2.

There are some wild personals and advertisements in the back ha ha ha. Go Into ELECTRICITY!

I think the gorilla/killer was Beneckendorff who escaped from the insane asylum. He became like a Jekyll-Hyde.

Ha! I thought the gorilla killed Beneckendorf too, which was kind of satisfying ha ha, destroyed by his own creation! Maybe the last little bit will make it more clear.
Or not ha ha ha ha.

He killed Dr. Kalmar. I think that's all of that episode, the next one is about a serpent.

Although in that final section that you still need to record, it says Kalmar IS Beneckendorff (it's like that Western one: people need to have just one name ha ha).

(then at the end it tells us to look for more de Grandin coming soon, that Broussac story that you have coming up next too)
