The First Four Voyages of Amerigo Vespucci, by Amerigo Vespucci (1451 - 1512) and Francisco Adolfo de Varnhagen (1816 - 1878), translated by M. K.
Amerigo Vespucci was, arguably, the first person to explore North and South America from Cape Hatteras to Brazil, 35° north latitude to somewhere south of 5° south latitude. He is the explorer from which America derived its name.

Not only does this work contain the letter of Amerigo Vespucci to Pier Soderini, describing his first four voyages, it also includes a biography on Vespucci, a geographical summary of the voyages, and other notes and analyses. (Summary by TriciaG)

NOTE: This work contains a fair amount of Latin and Spanish terms. Please read over the section before claiming, to make sure you can handle it. Footnotes are at the discretion of the reader, but I'd prefer including notes that add clarification and seem interesting.

He's the one America was named after - I think most people don't remember that.

I can add section 3. I think it's interesting because it discusses the origin of the name of the continent....

It was my son in junior high school in Canada, who told me America was named after Vespucci, whom he thought to be a mate on Columbus' ship.

Section 3 PL OK.

Quick note: volume is a touch low, but still OK.
Second quick note: in future, you can say "manuscript" for "MS". :)
